Intensive Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Electricity Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while residents in the city's east were plunged into darkness and faced disruption to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, according to municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor was killed and several individuals were wounded.

The strikes succeed nights of air raids in the territory, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to detect.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were preparing for additional strikes.
